A Glad Day

Amber sun gilds the sky and clouds glow silver with onyx edge.

Heavy on the grass, dew bends each blade.

Through a crack my open eyes receive the light.

Heaviness pulls me, and like the narrow leaves I think I might stay curled.

Upright, I pause, find the center, and move slow.

Drawn, vision roves and locks on full spectrum.

Satisfaction, glad song rises within, and I wake to unfailing love.

Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love,
that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

Psalm 90:14
